Breakfast is Even Better at Lunch

Kids love the comforting foods of breakfast. Typically made with simple ingredients and familiar flavors, traditional breakfast fare comes with all the warmth of home—even when served at school.

So why limit the popularity of breakfast to the a.m. alone? Some of your students’ favorite morning meals make great lunchtime dishes as well.

• Breakfast burritos featuring scrambled eggs, ground beef or sausage, shredded cheese and salsa

• Bagel sandwiches with eggs and bacon or turkey and sliced cheese

• Whole-grain cereal with fresh fruit for an a la carte snack

• Veggie omelets or quiche with a side of cottage cheese

• Creamy hashbrown potato casserole with chunks of ham
